Senior Landing Program™

From a silent search to a steady interview flow inside 90 days.

How a senior IC and solution architect went from near-zero recruiter inbound to senior interviews and hiring-manager conversations every week, and then to competing offers.

Situation

Ten years of deep delivery: reference architectures other teams copied, migrations that did not fall over, the person every account team asked for by name. On the market, none of it registered. Applications went out and came back as silence, recruiter inbound was close to zero, and the profile read as a list of technologies rather than a person who de-risks large programs. The problem was never capability. It was that nothing in the search created conversations.

Move

Three levers, in order. First, positioning: resume and LinkedIn rebuilt around business outcomes and program risk rather than tooling, so a hiring manager could see the value in one pass. Second, outreach cadence: a weekly rhythm of targeted applications on real ATSes plus direct, scripted approaches to named decision-makers, so volume stopped depending on mood. Third, interview-loop prep tuned to the specific panels: architecture deep-dives, stakeholder scenarios, and a negotiation position prepared before the first conversation, not after.

Outcome

The search stopped being silent within the first few weeks, and settled into a steady rhythm of senior interviews and hiring-manager conversations across the 90-day window, in the 6-10 range that senior IC and architect searches typically produce here. That flow converted: multiple live processes running at the same time, and competing offers to choose between rather than one offer to accept out of relief. Conversation counts are described as normalized ranges, not exact figures. See the methodology page for what counts as a senior interview or hiring-manager conversation.

For two months I had been applying into silence. The change wasn't effort, it was that the search finally produced conversations, every single week.
